Hi, Martin Dougiamas (Moodle founder and current Chairman).
The Moodle board meets on Tuesday, and I'd like to bring your voice into the room.
During the partner meetings and MoodleMoot Europe in Barcelona this past week I've been hearing a range of things from many people, and I’d rather the board hears your thoughts more directly than me passing on my impressions.
So I'm asking every Moodle Partner some open questions: about the partner meetings, where Moodle is heading, how things are going for your business, and what you'd suggest. There are no right answers. I want the honest version, whatever that is, positive or negative.
I’ve set up this survey as a conversation, not a form. You'll be chatting with an AI interviewer (Claude, from Anthropic) that asks one question at a time and follows up on what you say. It takes about 15 minutes, or longer if you have more to say. Long answers, dictated rambles and any language are all welcome, and you can skip any question.
You choose whether to be anonymous. You start anonymous. At the end you'll be offered the chance to add a rough region and company size, and your name and company. All of that is optional.
Please don't include anything shared with you under NDA, or confidential details about your clients.
Your conversation is stored on my own server, and nobody but me will be able to read it.
From these I’ll prepare a balanced report that summarises the entire survey with numbers and short anonymised quotes, and I’ll share that with the board.
Your answers will be used only for this board report. All transcripts will be deleted on Sunday 18 October. If you'd like yours deleted sooner, contact me and quote the reference shown at the end of your conversation.
If you can, please respond by Monday 12 October, 18:00 CEST so I have time to prepare the summary. The survey will be open afterwards for the rest of the week, in case you missed this deadline.
Thanks for your time on this, and your dedication to Moodle, which we all want to see be the best it can be.
Cheers,
Martin
